Meevo’s April 2026 Product Update: Smarter Booking, Better Visibility & Med Spa Enhancements

In this release, we’re sitting down with Andy, VP of Product Strategy at Meevo, to talk through some of the most impactful updates in Meevo’s third release of 2026. From smarter online booking controls to meaningful enhancements for med spas, this release is all about giving businesses more flexibility and visibility.

Q: What’s your favorite enhancement in this release?

My favorite enhancements in this release are part of our new online booking experience that we’re continuing to roll out.

The first is the ability to configure prerequisite services. Businesses can now require that a specific service be completed before another can be booked. For example, if a client needs a consultation before receiving a treatment, Meevo can now enforce that requirement directly within online booking.

We’ve also introduced a configurable timeframe tied to those prerequisites. That means businesses can define how long a prerequisite remains valid, so if too much time has passed, the client will be required to complete it again before booking.

The second enhancement is the ability to display service subcategories within the online booking experience. This has been a longstanding request and gives businesses a much more structured way to present their service menu. It makes it easier for clients to navigate, discover, and ultimately book the right services.

Q: How will businesses benefit from these updates?

These enhancements give businesses more control over both the booking experience and service compliance.

Prerequisite services help ensure that clients are properly guided through required steps before receiving certain treatments. This is especially important for services that require consultations, waivers, or prior sessions. By building this logic directly into booking, businesses can reduce errors, avoid rework, and ensure a better client experience all around.

The addition of subcategories improves how services are organized and presented. A cleaner, more intuitive booking flow makes it easier for clients to find what they’re looking for, which can lead to higher conversion rates and fewer abandoned bookings.

Q: Is there a hidden gem in this release that businesses should know about?

One of the hidden gems in this release is the introduction of configurable alerts for email & SMS marketing usage.

Businesses can now set thresholds to be notified when they reach a certain percentage of their included email contacts or SMS credits. This provides better visibility into usage and helps prevent unexpected overages, allowing businesses to plan and adjust their marketing efforts more proactively.

Another important update—especially for med spas—is the set of enhancements we’ve made to charting.

For multi-location beauty businesses, charts can now be accessed across locations, giving providers a more complete view of a client’s history regardless of where they’ve been seen. We’ve also introduced the ability to finalize charts without requiring a medical director review, which helps streamline workflows and reduce operational bottlenecks while still supporting proper documentation practices.

We want to thank all our Meevo users for your continued partnership and for sharing your feedback through our Ideas Portal. Your input plays a direct role in shaping our roadmap, and it’s what allows us to continue delivering meaningful improvements like these.
