MeevoPay Giving allows your guests to make a voluntary charitable donation right at checkout on your payment terminal. It’s a simple way to support meaningful causes while creating a positive, community-focused experience for your business and your guests.
2. How does the donation work at checkout?

After a guest completes their purchase, the payment terminal will display a prompt asking if they’d like to make a donation. If they choose to donate, the amount is added as a separate transaction and processed immediately.
Participation is always optional, and guests remain fully in control of their choice.
3. Which charities can guests donate to?

MeevoPay Giving currently supports donations to:
- Beauty Changes Lives – supporting education and career opportunities for the next generation of beauty & wellness professionals
- Wigs and Wishes – providing wigs to children experiencing hair loss due to medical conditions
Additional charity partners will be added over time. You can use the form to submit a request to add an additional charity.
4. Does my business receive any portion of the donation?

No. 100% of every donated dollar goes directly to the selected charity.
Meevo does not take a portion of the donation, and there are no transaction fees or costs to your business on donated amounts.
5. Why does the donation appear as a separate charge on a guest's card statement?

Donations are processed as a separate transaction so the funds can be routed directly to the charity. This is why guests will see the donation listed as its own line item on their credit or debit card statement.
This separation helps ensure full transparency for both the guest and the business.
6. Will guests receive a receipt for their donation?

A separate donation receipt is not provided at the time of purchase. However, the donation will appear as a separate line item on the guest’s card statement, which they can use for their personal records or tax purposes.
7. What if a guest didn't mean to make a donation?

We understand that mistakes can happen. Because donations go directly to the charity, the business cannot issue a refund. However, refunds for unintentional donations can be requested through our payment processor, Adyen.
Guests can:
- Use the Payment Lookup Tool to locate their donation
- Copy the PSP reference number provided
- Email donationrefund@adyen.com with the reference number to request a refund
If they’re unable to find the donation using the lookup tool, Adyen’s support team can assist with locating and refunding it.
8. Is MeevoPay Giving available to all Meevo customers?

MeevoPay Giving is available exclusively to businesses that use MeevoPay for payment processing.
9. Can I request a different charity?

Yes. Businesses can submit a request to add an additional charity partner for consideration. While not all requests can be accommodated, our team reviews each submission and follows up with next steps.
10. How does a chargeback impact a donation?

Donations via credit cards might occasionally face chargebacks. Adyen covers all donation chargeback costs. This ensures that 100% of donations reach your nonprofit partner without affecting your business operations.
While the associated fees will be covered by Adyen, the donation amount itself will be refunded from the nonprofit to the customer.
11. How can I get a report showing donation totals for my business?

Donation totals can be provided upon request. If you’d like a report showing the donation amounts collected through MeevoPay Giving for your business, simply contact the Meevo team and we’ll be happy to assist.
Because donations are processed as separate transactions and routed directly to the charity, reports are generated by request rather than accessed directly within Meevo. Our team will work with you to provide the appropriate summary for your needs.
