Q2 was a busy and productive quarter for the Meevo Product Team. Across two releases—April & June—we delivered enhancements for online booking, business management, payments, and clinical workflows for med spas. We sat down with Andrew Clarke, VP of Product Strategy at Meevo, to walk through what the team delivered and what it means for the businesses running on Meevo.
A Stronger Online Booking Experience
We’ve been rebuilding Meevo’s Online Booking experience from the ground up, and Q2 marked continued progress on that journey. The goal is straightforward: Make it easier for clients to book and give businesses more control over how that experience works.
The new experience is already showing results—early data shows businesses are seeing up to 60% more visitors complete a booking. That’s a meaningful improvement that directly impacts revenue.
Andrew notes, “We’re being deliberate and building this the right way. Each release adds more capability, and we’re not done. Businesses that have made the switch are seeing the difference.”
More Flexibility in How You Manage Your Business
Whether you’re running one location or many, a couple of updates this quarter gave businesses more control over how their packages and gifting work.
Many wellness businesses sell packages that allow clients to substitute one service for another, choosing a different treatment than what’s included by default. Meevo calls these Package Swap Groups, and this quarter they became significantly more flexible. Services can now belong to multiple Swap Groups, and upgrade fees can now be set to $0—useful when a complimentary swap upgrade makes sense for your business.
For multi-location organizations, these enhancements go further. Your corporate team can now control which locations have access to a given Swap Group, and locations can override the default upgrade fee set at the corporate level, giving them the flexibility to align swap pricing with their own business needs.
On the eGift side, locations can now override corporate defaults for delivery options and shipping fees, giving individual sites more control over the gifting experience for their clients.
Andrew shares, “We’re continuing to invest in the tools that give businesses both the control and the flexibility they need.”
Offer Payment Plans with Confidence
For businesses that offer payment plans, clients can now review and sign an agreement before the transaction is finalized. Getting that confirmation upfront creates clearer expectations and better documentation from the start.
Andrew shares, “When offering a payment plan, having a signed agreement on file before the transaction closes protects the business and sets clear expectations with the client.”
Stay Ahead with Smarter Alerts
Staying on top of your business means having visibility into the things that can sneak up on you. New usage alerts for Emma email & SMS marketing notify you when you’re approaching your monthly limits, so you can plan accordingly and avoid mid-campaign surprises.
Continued Investment in Med Spa Clinical Workflows
Medical aesthetic businesses have specific needs that general business software doesn’t address. Q2 brought a few meaningful improvements to the clinical side of Meevo.
Medical directors can now bulk-finalize eligible charts in states where regulations permit representative sampling rather than chart-by-chart review. A clear audit trail is maintained throughout, so compliance isn’t compromised—it’s just faster.
For multi-location med spa businesses, authorized staff can now view a client’s chart history across locations. It’s a convenient, read-only capability that gives providers better clinical context when a client visits more than one site.
Andrew shares, “Med spas are running complex operations. Every improvement we make to the clinical workflow is about giving providers and administrators more time to focus on patient care.”
