We recently sat down with Andrew Clarke, VP of Product Strategy at MSI, to talk about some of the highlights in Meevo’s sixth release of 2026. Andrew shares why new AI-powered charting capabilities and inventory lot tracking stand out to him, how these enhancements can help businesses, and a hidden gem that gives MeevoPay customers more flexibility when accessing their funds.
Q: What’s your favorite enhancement in this release?
I’m going to cheat a little and pick two because they both address important needs for our med spa customers: our new AI enhancements for charting, and product lot & expiration tracking.
As far as charting for med spas, we’re introducing three AI-powered capabilities. AI Chart Recap can generate an easy-to-read recap of an individual chart, AI Patient Overview can bring together important information from a client’s complete chart history, and AI Voice-Powered Charting allows providers to speak naturally about a visit and have Meevo help populate the appropriate areas of the chart.
We’re also introducing Inventory Lot & Expiration Tracking, giving businesses the ability to track products by lot number and, when needed, expiration date. That information follows the product through key inventory workflows and into the register when products are sold or used.
Q: How will businesses benefit from these enhancements?
For charting, it really comes down to helping providers spend less time documenting and searching for information. A provider can quickly get up to speed on a previous visit or a patient’s broader clinical history without manually reviewing multiple charts. With voice-powered charting, we’re also making it easier to capture information after a treatment while still giving providers the ability to review and edit the AI-generated content before completing the chart.
Lot and expiration tracking solves a different but equally important challenge. For businesses managing products that require greater traceability, they can now follow inventory by lot as it is received, counted, transferred, used during services, or sold. Meevo can also alert the business when a lot is approaching expiration, remains in inventory after expiring, or when an expired lot is used or sold. That gives businesses much better visibility into their inventory and helps them stay ahead of potential issues.
Q: Is there a hidden gem in this release that you think Meevo users should know about?
For me, it’s MeevoPay Now.
Businesses using MeevoPay typically receive their processing funds through their standard next-day deposit, but sometimes you need access to that money sooner. MeevoPay Now gives eligible businesses the option to request available processing funds on demand, including on weekends and holidays, with funds typically delivered within minutes when their financial institution supports the applicable real-time payment network.
I think this is one of those enhancements that may not change something you do in Meevo every day, but it can be incredibly useful when you need it. Whether it’s an unexpected equipment repair, restocking inventory, or another time-sensitive business expense, having the option to access eligible funds sooner gives businesses another tool for managing cash flow.
As always, I want to thank everyone who chooses Meevo and continues to share feedback with us through our Ideas Portal. That feedback is an invaluable part of how we prioritize our roadmap and helps us continue improving Meevo in ways that make a meaningful difference for your business.
