Meevo’s Final Release of 2025: Smarter Marketing & Flexible Unit-Based Packages 

 

As we wrap up 2025, our final Meevo release of the year is all about two things our users care deeply about: smarter marketing and more flexible ways to sell & track services. 

 

To walk through what’s new, we sat down with Andrew Clarke, VP of Product Strategy at Millennium Systems International (MSI). From long-requested unit-based packages to powerful enhancements in our Emma marketing integration, Andrew shares what stands out in this release, how it benefits your business, and a hidden gem you’ll want to explore right away. 

 

A Top Request, Delivered: True Unit-Based Packages 

When asked about his favorite enhancement in this release, Andrew said: 

“My favorite enhancement in this release is one that’s been requested by many of our business owners—the ability to create unit-based packages.” 

Previously, Meevo didn’t support packages built around units, so businesses offering services measured in quantities—like injections or laser pulses—had to rely on workarounds. 

With this release, you can build packages around units instead of just visits or dollar amounts, giving you far more flexibility in how you sell and track prepaid services 

 

For example, a med spa could sell a 100-unit package at a discounted per-unit price. At checkout, the register will automatically deduct the appropriate number of units from the package balance based on what was performed. 

 

 

Why Unit-Based Packages Matter for Your Business 

Before this release, businesses using Meevo had to get creative if they wanted to mimic unit-based behavior. One common workaround was to use products within a package and simply increase the quantity purchased. 

 

That approach worked to a point, but it came with trade-offs. Most notably, it could inflate retail sales metrics, making reporting less accurate and harder to interpret. 

 

With true unit-based tracking now in place, you can: 

  • Design packages exactly as intended, without relying on workarounds 
  • Automatically deduct units at checkout, based on what was used 
  • Show units used & remaining right on the receipt, giving clients clear visibility into their balances

  • Fewer manual adjustments 
  • Time saved at checkout 
  • More accurate reporting 
  • Greater visibility for both staff & clients

The Hidden Gem: Smarter Email & SMS Marketing with Emma 

Beyond packages, this release also delivers a powerful set of upgrades to Emma, our integrated marketing platform, especially for businesses that want to connect more effectively through email and SMS. 

 

 

SMS Marketing Powered by Emma 

One of the biggest additions is SMS Marketing powered by Emma, which extends Emma’s familiar email marketing experience into text messaging. 

 

From the same platform you already use for email campaigns, you can now: 

  • Design, personalize & send SMS campaigns 
  • Incorporate emojis & images for more engaging messages 

 

This gives your team an efficient way to complement email campaigns with timely, on-brand text messages without having to learn a new tool or jump between platforms. 

 

 

AI Enhancements: Smart Segment & Smart Send 

Emma’s AI capabilities are also evolving in this release, with two new features designed to make campaigns more intelligent and easier to execute: Smart Segment and Smart Send. 

 

Smart Segment 

  • You simply describe your intended audience in plain language 
  • Emma then automatically builds the segment for you 
  • This makes targeting faster and easier, especially for busy teams that don’t have time to build complex rules 

 

Smart Send 

  • Emma analyzes engagement data from your last 10 campaigns 
  • It uses that history to determine the best time to send your next campaign 
  • The goal: Help boost opens and clicks while reducing unsubscribes by sending messages when clients are most likely to engage 

 

Together, these enhancements strengthen Emma’s existing AI-driven framework, helping your business create more personalized, data-informed campaigns with less effort across both email and SMS.
