Meevo’s May Release: Continuing to Elevate the Online Booking Experience & More

 

In this article, we’re sitting down again with Andrew Clarke, VP of Product Strategy at MSI, to talk about some of the standout enhancements in Meevo’s fourth release of 2026. From continued investments in Online Booking to more flexible package management, this release is focused on creating smoother client experiences while giving businesses more control behind the scenes. 

 

Q: What’s your favorite enhancement in this release? 

My favorite enhancement continues to be the evolution of our new Online Booking experience. With each release, we’re adding more capabilities that make online scheduling feel more modern, intuitive, and client-friendly while also giving businesses greater flexibility in how they manage bookings. 

 

This release introduces several meaningful improvements, including the ability for clients to add a card on file during booking, view & cancel upcoming appointments online, see membership-specific pricing when logged in, and even schedule couples appointments in a single booking flow. We’ve also made the new Online Booking experience easier to enable directly within Meevo settings, so businesses can start exploring the latest experience without needing assistance from their CSM. 

 

Q: How will businesses benefit from these Online Booking enhancements? 

These enhancements are all about reducing friction for both clients and staff. 

Giving clients more self-service capabilities like viewing appointment history, canceling appointments online, and managing payment information helps reduce front desk workload while improving convenience for guests. Membership pricing visibility is another important enhancement because it directly reinforces membership value during the booking process, which can help strengthen retention and encourage repeat visits. 

 

The addition of couples booking is especially exciting for spas and businesses offering shared experiences. It simplifies what can often be a complicated scheduling process and creates a smoother path for higher-value bookings. 

 

Overall, these updates continue moving Meevo toward a more seamless digital guest journey while helping businesses operate more efficiently. 

 

Q: Is there a hidden gem in this release that you think all Meevo users should know about? 

That would have to be the enhancements to Package Swap Groups. While this may sound like a smaller operational update, it actually unlocks a lot more flexibility for businesses that use packages and memberships heavily. 

 

Businesses can now include a service in multiple Swap Groups, which makes it much easier to build creative package options without being limited by previous setup restrictions. We also added the ability to set upgrade fees all the way down to $0, giving businesses more freedom to offer complimentary upgrades or create more personalized package experiences. 

 

For multi-location beauty businesses, there are also new controls that allow locations to override upgrade fees locally and give Central Office more flexibility in managing how Swap Groups are shared across locations. These enhancements provide much better scalability for franchise and enterprise-style operations.
