In this release, we’re sitting down with Andrew Clarke, VP of Product Strategy at MSI, to discuss two enhancements designed to help businesses make smarter inventory decisions and create a more transparent Membership sales experience.
Q: What’s your favorite enhancement in this release?
My favorite enhancements are the new Inventory Turns Analysis and Model Quantity Analysis wizards.
Managing inventory effectively requires businesses to balance product availability with the cost of carrying too much stock. These new wizards use historical product activity to help businesses better understand how quickly inventory is moving and determine how much of each product they should keep on hand.
Inventory Turns Analysis provides a longer-term view of inventory performance and recommends stocking levels based on a business’s inventory-turn goals. Model Quantity Analysis focuses on recent demand, replenishment practices, and supplier lead times to recommend when products should be reordered and how much inventory should be maintained.
Q: How will businesses benefit from these new inventory tools?
These wizards replace much of the manual analysis and guesswork that can make salon inventory management & spa inventory management so challenging and time consuming.
Businesses can more easily identify products that are overstocked, moving slowly, or at risk of running out. Each recommendation includes supporting calculations, product consumption history, and a confidence rating, giving users the key information they need to make better, more informed decisions.
Model Quantity Analysis also allows authorized users to review the recommendations, adjust values when needed, and update selected products in Meevo in a single operation. The result is a more efficient purchasing process, better product availability, and less working capital tied up in unnecessary inventory.
Q: Is there a hidden gem in this release that you think all Meevo users should know about?
The hidden gem is an important improvement to the Membership agreement workflow. Previously, the agreement was sent to the client after the Membership purchase was completed. Businesses can now send the agreement before finalizing the sale, giving clients the opportunity to review and acknowledge what they are purchasing—including applicable fees, recurring payment terms, cancellation policies, and other important conditions—before they commit.
Because these digital agreements are created through Docs & Forms, each business can fully customize them to reflect its specific Memberships, policies, and terms. Once completed, the agreement is stored directly within the client profile, making it easy for the business to access and reference whenever needed.
This creates a clearer and more transparent purchasing experience for the client while helping the business maintain accessible documentation of the terms that were accepted at the time of sale.
I want to thank all our Meevo users for continuing to choose Meevo and for sharing their feedback through our Ideas Portal. Your input is an invaluable part of how we prioritize our roadmap and continue improving Meevo for the businesses and teams that rely on it every day.
